Erm... this may sound pathetic, but can you help me?

ok i play violin, and i've been playing for 3 years now. so when you practice, your fingers are constantly going over the metal strings, and eventually, your fingertips build up a tougher, harder spot of skin where you always touch the strings with. but when i practice a lot, my fingertips hurt, and from then on, for hours, every time i press my fingers on something, it hurts. and i pratice piano and type alot, so this gets annoying fast. plus when i push against a buckle (the kind where you press in two tabs to slide it into the slot) i feel like my finger's on fire. any way to stop the pain, without dropping violin?

The calluses forming on your fingertips should be filed down and keep applying a deep moisturizing cream several times a day and continue applying after the calluses are gone. By keeping the fingertips moist, will prevent hardness to form again. The pain will go away in a week or less. If you ever got real hard skin forming on the heels of your feet, the heel hurts to walk on. Once the skin is soft again, there is no pain.

owie...that must hurt..my fingers are sometimes like that when i play the acoustic guitar for an hour and then the piano...i bare the pain
Wear band-aids on your fingers while playing, so the band aids feel the pain and not you
