It is not know exactly how many violins Antonius Stradivari made during his life time.......he also made violas, cellos, mandolins and one known harp, incidentally. I do know that occasionally previously unknown "Stradivarius" violins appear on the market......which inevitably turn out to be fakes.

There is no definite number available, if I remember correctly. Stradivaris was a genius in violin making, there has never been an equal.
